Who are our new neighbors?

Individuals who have experienced significant hardship, and have shown incredible resilience in the face of that hardship.

Having crossed an international border to flee danger and seek safety, these individuals requested refugee status. After an extensive screening process, they were granted Refugee Status by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. They were then assigned to the U.S. State Department and underwent another extensive screening process. The State Department assigned their cases to a U.S. resettlement agency, World Relief, prior to their travel to America. World Relief gave Alliance for Refugees the responsibility for resettling our new neighbors here in NJ.
